Should you take friendly advices on being spontaneous?
How do you lighten up? The Five Minute Friday writing prompt in today’s link up using the word ‘spontaneous’ stirred emotions that helped me remember how to find strength from deep within in lowest points of life.
When celebrating 90 years of a loved one, now passed on, an old photo album reminded us of all the joy, fun, and thrill of simply showing up unannounced and enjoying each others company, sharing in the experiences, histories, and accomplishments of earlier times till late into the night. The nostalgia of spontaneously meeting and hearing stories to know what happened and what our loved ones felt then is impossible to describe.
Spontaneous generation
Reminiscing the good old days may seem like just a pun of words.
But when times seemed simpler and more fun, being spontaneous was rewarding and the order of the day.
For clarification, the spontaneous definition we are referring to here is ‘proceeding from natural feeling or native tendency without external constraint.’ (Merriam Webster Dictionary).
Oh boy! Life is rushing, hurrying, and going.
Hasn’t spontaneity been altered by our super busier lives, now more than ever? Don’t we all constantly find ourselves having to premeditate and plan well in advance before showing up in our neighbors’ homesteads, let alone our loved ones?
How to spur yourself to spontaneity and success
With reference to Ecclesiastes chapter 3:1, To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven; there is a time to be inspire and master how to be more spontaneous and a time to ditch it.

How spontaneity is a delightful rarity
“Through spontaneity, we are re-formed into ourselves. It creates an explosion that for the moment frees us from handed-down frames of reference, memory choked with old facts and information and undigested theories and techniques of other people’s findings. Spontaneity is the moment of personal freedom when we are faced with reality, and see it, explore it and act accordingly. In this reality, the bits and pieces of ourselves function as an organic whole. It is the time of discovery, of experiencing, of creative expression.” ~ Viola Spolin
